Hand auf's Herz, 2019
Performance at Auf Achse!
Street Theatre Festival in Vienna, Austria
Standing still in the middle of a busy passage
anchored within myself
plugged into the pure positiv energy
of life itself
present - clear - calm - open
tuned into the frequency of unconditional love.
For the brief time of 11 seconds
I placed my hand on the hearts of people,
connected on the most basic level of existence,
created a space of allowing.

HEART BEAT 2.0
Inspired by a TED-Talk about body-language, of the biochemist Amy Cuddy (http://www.ted.com/talks/amy_cuddy_your_body_language_shapes_who_you_are) I got highly interested in the impact of body-poses to the way we feel about ourselves and even our hormones.
She and her colleges found out that, the poses we perform not only show others our level of energy and state of mind, but also performing these poses, for at least one minute, will change the level of hormones in our body. Low power poses increase the cortisone and lowers testosterone and serotonin, wether high power poses lower cortisol and increase testosterone and serotonin up to 40 percent, depending on the time performed.
What triggered my interest deeply was the fact, how much the poses we perform in our daly life, especially when using electronic devices, force us in low power poses and thus limiting our ability of using our full mental and emotional intelligence.
Based on her research and my own experience of 10 yeas of kundalini yoga, I developed a choreography out of the most common poses we perform in our social, working and private life and contrast them with high power poses, that we all know well, but are somehow unexpected or judged as inappropriate.
The inner processes stimulated by the poses manifest themselves also in significant changes oft my heartbeat. By using an ultrasound device, fixed at my heart center, that can be used together with a wireless audio transmitter and a PA-System, I open another dimension of experiencing the inner processes.

Hand auf's Herz // Hand on Heart (German saying)
Performance in public space
@ Broadway Brünner Straße
for Wir Kommen!
In German, we say "Hand auf's Herz" in situations we really want to be truthful, pure, plain and simple.
Personally I strongly believe that this purity and heart connection is the essence of all human beings, the way we truly, deeply are. We just don't practice it enough. We live in a world of duality and over time our society misunderstood this entangled duality as separation. We are so used to focused on the other, the difference, to ensure ourselves our individuality but only create separation, division, isolation, loneliness and fear.
With this performance I want to build bridges into peoples hearts. I want to remind us that we are more similar, more equal than we might think. I want to create an atmosphere of allowing, of connection and a feeling of being seen, welcome and touched. Within myself first and than radiating it outside and invite others to join.
I was standing at the entrance of a busy passage in the 21. district of Vienna, dressed like a white super-heroine, right hand on my heart, left hand at the hight of the shoulder, palm facing forward. Standing completely still I tried to make eye contact with people and see who might be interested in connecting. When I felt someone being open, I approached the person slowly, holding a gentle eye contact, than asked: May I? and if they agreed I put my left hand on their heart for eleven seconds, than thanked them and walked away backwards.
During the 4 times 15 minutes within two hours, I connected with around 7-10 people.
The feedback has been various but positively.
I really enjoyed the performance a lot!
